What is Virtual Rack?

Enterprise level virtualisation using entirely open-source software.

Debian + VirtualBox + phpVirtualBox + webmin + shellinabox + VNC/remote desktop

Machine setup, cloning, teleporting and management entirely through a browser.

Product costing around £1,000 (plus support contract) would be sufficient to run all small or medium business IT infrastructure.
Facility provides for 8-32 servers (depending on resource usage) in 1 x 3U (tower PC) size case.

If you provide server hardware £300 for installation plus training and initial support period.

Initial installation includes firewall + webserver + mailserver + fileserver.
Approx 2Tb store expandable.
Supports all Windows and Linux server configurations.
Firewall supports VPN for employee remote working.

Product has both internal (virtual) and external 1Gb networking.
If you require internet (ASDL/DSL/Fibre) hookup also this can be arranged and installed.
Also if you require domain registration and web hosting (apache) training.

Web site development can be done entirely in your browser using the Ultimate Wiki software (note the pencil icon bottom right), or FTP using professional software.
Again training can be given.

Full remote support contract plus on site training (previous IT training/experience not required).
Installation and initial setup takes about a week.

Product is proven secure and dependable (this is hosted on it) and has been deployed to large enterprises successfully.
Generally maintenance free and upgrades are free if you do them yourself.
Product is entirely open source so you can replicate indefinitely without licence issues, although payment is required for virtual rack support on each installation.
